Macmillan Affiliate member principles
Purpose
As a Macmillan Affiliate Member, you will be able to connect with Macmillan to enhance your knowledge, skills, and confidence in supporting people living with cancer.
As a Macmillan Affiliate Member, you will be able to
- Engage in learning, development and networking opportunities provided by Macmillan that help develop your skills and confidence in supporting people living with cancer
- Signpost and refer people living with cancer to appropriate local and national Macmillan Services and other support services
- Use Macmillan-approved resources to support people affected by cancer
- Promote Macmillan learning and development opportunities within your networks
- Provide anonymised feedback to help Macmillan improve its services for people living with cancer
- You will be responsible for any professional or clinical advice you give during your interactions with people living with cancer
As a Macmillan Affiliate Member, you will not be able to
- Act as a Macmillan Professional. Being a Macmillan Affiliate Member does not make you a Macmillan Professional or part of a Macmillan service.
- Act on behalf of Macmillan. Macmillan Affiliate Members cannot represent Macmillan or act as its employees or agents.
